Even illegal immigrants, who have fled from the instability and dangers of their home countries, fear the rampant crime wave that’s flooding New York City. (Article by Amber Crawford republished from 100PercentFedUp.com) On Friday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced his plan to send the illegal immigrants flooding his border to New York City, a sanctuary city. Yesterday, a bus of immigrants arrived in NYC, carrying less than half the amount of passengers expected. Democrat Mayor Eric Adams suggested that these immigrants got off the bus early because they feared the city’s ongoing crime problem. At a press conference on Sunday, Adams welcomed the busload of migrants who were arriving from Texas. When he learned that most of the passengers departed before reaching NYC, a shocked Adams said, “We were led to believe about 40 people should have been on that bus. Only 14 got off.” “Because of the fear that something was going to happen to them if they came to this location, people got off earlier,” the mayor theorized. “And we are concerned about that because we don’t want people being dropped off [just] anywhere.” [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="566"] NYC Mayor Eric Adams speaks as asylum-seekers are welcomed to the city[/caption] [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="600"] NYC Mayor Eric Adams greets newly-arrived children migrants[/caption] A City Hall spokeswoman later insisted that the mayor was not referring to the city’s abysmal crime stats in his comments. However, she did not offer an alternative explanation of what the migrants may have feared when arriving in the city. NYC has been suffering from a crime rate that spiked almost 40% this year compared to 2021, according to statistics released by the NYPD. Hate crime rates are up 13.3%, and transit crime waves are up a major 53% compared to the same period last year. No wonder the border-crossers are afraid to live in this city. This small group joined the 50 migrants that arrived on the first bus to NYC on Friday. Read more at: 100PercentFedUp.com
